Mastocytomas (cancer of the mammary glands) occur due to a prominent influence from hormones produced by the ovaries. Treatment involves removing the ovaries as well to prevent re-occurence.
This mass weighed in at 2.1 kg and our patient was so relieved and happy to have back her full range of motion.
